Education: Attended Mesa Jr. College, 1965-1967. Graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.
Occupation: Taught for 31 years with the St. Vrain Valley School District in Longmont, Colorado. Presently retired and working part time at Lake Valley Golf Club near Boulder, Colorado.

Father, Dr. Milton W. Etter, WWII veteran; served in the Army, 10th Armored Division under General Patton.
Brother, Milton "Lee" Etter: Rt. Lt. Col-Served in Vietnam as a Navigator on a KC135.
Uncle, Marvin Etter: Air Force and COANG veteran. Fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Member of the Minute Men Flying Team that was recently inducted into the Colorado Air Force Hall of Fame.
Brother-in-Law, Dr. Richard Artim: Air Force Academy graduate. Called up during ""Desert Storm".
Brother-in-Law, Dr. Timothy Goodrich: Army doctor currently assigned to Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Honors:
Received "God and Country" Award while in Boy Scouts of America. Awarded a full tuition baseball scholarship at Mesa Jr. College and Oklahoma State. Received: Teacher of the Year" Award in 1987 from St. Vrain Valley School District. Upon retiring from teaching physical education, the school gymnasium was named Murl Etter Gymnasium.
Volunteer Work:
Currently serving on the Board of Directors of American Military Family, Inc.
Past Deacon of Westview Presbyterian Church in Longmont, Colorado.
Served as a Judge for the American Legion's Colorado High School Oratorical Contest. |
